Veneers are custom-made ‘shells’ that fit over your teeth to restore and enhance their appearance. While they are sometimes used for purely cosmetic reasons, such as covering discolouration or creating a more even and uniform appearance, they can also save chipped and broken teeth without extraction, and can close gaps in the smile, which could improve your oral health.
Our expert dentists match your veneers to your smile, so they will be the same shape, size and colour as your natural teeth. In most cases, others won’t be able to tell you have veneers, as the result is extremely realistic.

They restore the tooth and enhance its appearance, and could also help improve oral health.
They can last between 7-15 years, but this depends on your diet, lifestyle and dental routine. Though they are stain-resistant, dentists recommend to avoid staining foods and drinks, and habits such as smoking.
At Woodcroft dental in Midhurst, West Sussex, many over-18s are suitable for treatment, however, we carry out a consultation to ensure suitability. They may not be recommended if your mouth, teeth and gums aren’t healthy; if you have weak teeth; or if you tend to grind your teeth.
We first arrange a consultation to talk you through the process, answer your questions, and check your eligibility. You aren’t obligated to have treatment if unsuitable, or you change your mind.
We then check your smile and take any X-rays or impressions needed. Next, we shape the tooth (or teeth), and take any impressions needed. It’s from these that we make your new veneer(s). You can wear a temporary veneer(s) during this time.
Our experts extend their support even after you leave the practice. We advise against staining drinks/foods and chewing/grinding habits, while promoting maintaining good oral health and attending check-ups.
